Sophomores and Juniors- New program for next year!

Are you interested in the manufacturing industry?  Would you like to learn about robotics, blue print reading, CAD (computer aided design), or welding?  Northland Career Center's new program for juniors and seniors, Production Technologies, offers all of these areas of study and more! Possible career options include Machinists, Maintenance Mechanic, HVAC Installer, Drafters and Engineering Technicians.  Earn college and high school credit!  Transportation provided every day!  Learn more by registering HERE to attend the Liberty Hour session on Thursday, March 30 in the counseling office.  See Ms. Wiederholt, LHS Counselor, for your questions.

Private ACT Workshops

ACT Testing for ALL JUNIORS!

The ACT will be given to ALL juniors on April 19th. It will include the writing portion. A student does NOT have to go online and register. Every LHS junior is pre-registered through the school.  

Looking for a Summer Job?

Hire KC Youth - powered up, powered on and ready for summer 2017!  Students who are least 16 years old are eligible to apply for a for a summer job through Hire KC Youth – This will offer youth more access to immersive and seasonal job experiences. Students can apply now at

The University of Missouri School of Medicine would like to extend an invitation for your rising juniors and seniors to participate in Mizzou MedPrep: Medical Explorations workshop.

The workshop is a 2-week online course and one-day visit to MU’s campus. The students will explore careers in healthcare, enhance self-awareness through personality assessment, and connect with peers, students, staff and faculty in healthcare. Please encourage your students to register online:

Online workshop: June 23 – July 7, 2017

Campus visit: July 7, 2017, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
