Liberty Public School District is proud to be hosting the 2nd Annual Diversity Festival celebrating many of the cultures and diversities that make up our community. We are seeking those interested in educating others regarding different aspects of your culture/diversity. If you are interested in possibly hosting a booth at this year’s festival, or may know of someone who is, please complete the survey that is linked below by Friday, September 29th. This year’s festival will be held November 9th, 6-8pm @ Liberty North High School.

Attention parents of students entering the 6th and 9th grades for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year! LPS will be implementing a new residency verification policy. This will be a requirement for students starting on the first day of school (August 16, 2017). The calendar window to submit required documentation will be June 15 - July 29, 2017.  Parents are encouraged to begin gathering the information below and submit to the school your student will be attending during the calendar window to avoid long lines and/or enrollment delays:

Acceptable proofs of residency
(Two different utilities - water, gas, or electric OR lease agreement OR non-contingent home sales contract OR settlement statement from home purchase)

Major Testing Day at Liberty High School is Wednesday, April 19th.  Below you will find the schedule. All Freshmen and Sophomores will have a full day of testing. Juniors taking the ACT will conclude their testing time at 12:45pm then transition to lunch until 1:15pm. In order to maintain a valid testing environment, we will not be able to interrupt testing by calling into classrooms.  Students must be in their testing environment for the allocated time in order to not invalidate their scores.  There will be afternoon activities planned for those students who remain on campus.

While underclassman are testing

seniors will be participating in a variety of activities. Their schedule is outlined below.

 

8:00- Students should report to the LHS Field House upon arrival to school.
8:10- Mandatory Senior Meeting with Dr. Adams (LHS Field House)
8:45- All students will load buses and depart for Community Service Projects
9:00 – 11:30Community Service Projects at local sites (see permission slip for individual assignment)
*Seniors should wear a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, and tennis shoes they don’t mind getting dirty.
*Seniors may count these service hours for National Honor Society or Key Club.
11:30 – 1:30- Food Truck Lunch at LHS*
           *All seniors that participate in the service project will receive a lunch ticket valid for a meal and drink from any food truck. 
             Students may also bring money to purchase additional items. Students who do not participate in the service project will not

             be eligible to participate in the food truck lunch option. 
1:30 – 1:45- Enter Field House
1:45 – 3:15- Comedy City Show (LHS Field House)

High school students currently enrolled in Advanced Placement courses may now register for AP exams. We strongly recommend that parents and students are both present while registering to ensure that the correct exams are ordered. This year, each AP exam costs $100 with a $10 registration fee per student. Exam fees may be paid online at the time of registration. Please be sure to have a credit card or debit card available before beginning registration if you wish to pay online. Payment may also be made by check and mailed to Total Registration at the address shown on the confirmation page. Students in need of financial assistance may request it during the registration process. Registration is not complete until the confirmation page has been printed.

  • Monday, February 27, at 12:01 a.m. - Registrations and payments after this date will incur a $20 late fee per registration.
  • Friday, March 3, at 11:59 p.m. - Registration ends.
  • Monday, March 6, at 11:59 p.m. - Registrations that have not been paid, will be canceled, and exams will not be ordered.

When: February 4, 2017 @ 5:00 PM
Where: Liberty North Fieldhouse
Why: Raise funds for the Liberty Schools “Building Pride” Activity   Complexes Campaign


Join us for some stiff competitive basketball between the faculty from Liberty North High School and the faculty from Liberty High School. Your admission donation of $10 for adults and $5 for students will grant you entrance to the game, along with one raffle ticket.
Additional raffle tickets will be available for $5/ticket or 5 tickets for $20. Raffle items include an Apple watch, iPad, TV, letterman jacket, and much more! All proceeds will go directly towards the Liberty Schools “Building Pride” Activity Complexes Campaign. Come cheer on your favorite faculty member, enjoy performances by both high school bands, cheer and dance teams, and benefit the community at the same time! Let’s see which school can fill the stands the fullest!

On Tuesday, January 10th, the LHS Counseling & Social Work Department will be hosting our annual Incoming Freshman Parent Night for current 8th grade parents whose children will be attending LHS next school year.  The evening will take place at Liberty High School from 6:30-8pm and will begin with a presentation by LHS Counselors outlining the enrollment process, course sequencing, graduation requirements, and post-secondary planning. Then, from 7-8pm, there will be an Academic Fair to give parents an opportunity to meet with teachers from a variety of academic departments at LHS and get information about classes, prerequisites, and more. The Liberty School District Foundation has partnered with Liberty area Price Choppers to sell raffle tickets in the support of the Building Pride Campaign.

We know that many schools, school groups, and PTSA's are hosting different types of fundraisers throughout the year in support of the Building Pride District Activity Complexes Campaign; therefore, we would like to offer you the opportunity to participate in the 2016 Price Chopper Grocery Grab School Fundraiser for the Building Pride Campaign. You can purchase your $5 Raffle tickets in the Front Office at Liberty High School from Sarah Burt or Jenny Ward through November 29, 2016.

Here's how it works:

$5 Raffle tickets for a chance to win a Grocery Grab - 5 minutes to GRAB as many groceries as possible.

  • The $5 raffle ticket is also a $5 coupon to Price Chopper
  • 100% of all funds raised will go to the Building Pride Activity Complex Campaign and YOUR school will get the credit.
  • On December 3 at 10:00am, five semi-finalists will be drawn at each store
  • One December 10 at 7:30am:
    • 4 semi-finalists for each store will be selected to win a $100 gift card to Price Chopper
    • 1 finalist will be selected for each store for the grocery grab. The winner will get five minutes to grab as many groceries as he or she can.
      • This is scheduled for 8am on December 10 - you must be present.
