I grew up here in the Northland. I graduated from Winnetonka High School and attended UCM where I earned a Bachelor’s degreein Early Childhood and Elementary Education. While teaching, I earned a Master’s degree in Technology in Education from Lesley University. I taught Kindergarten and First Grade for the North Kansas City School District for 9 years. I loved working with the little ones, however, decided to follow my passions and make a big change…I got certified to teach FACS and it has been the best decision ever!
I started teaching for LPS in 2010. I taught FACS for Liberty Academy for my first two years. I started teaching at LHS in 2012. I have absolutely found my niche teaching EIP and culinary classes! I am able to teach our future educators through the EIP program here at LHS and feel so blessed to be able to use my background in early childhood and elementary education. I love teaching culinary skills to my students at LHS as well. I firmly believe that “anyone can cook” and have enjoyed teaching ProStart for Liberty High School for 4 years. I am the ProStart coach for our competitive cooking team and love being a blue jay!
I have a wonderful husband, Kyle, of 16 years. I also have three beautiful and creative children. My son, Cole, is 12, my daughter, Lillian, is 9, and my son, Henry, is 2. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, running, shopping, traveling, reading, doing anything creative, and spending time with my family and friends.
