Sarah Adams

I was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. I graduated from Iowa State University with my Bachelors of Arts in Family and Consumer Science Education. After completing my student teaching for Liberty Public Schools, I started my teaching career in 2005 at Heritage Middle School. I obtained my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Baker University and got married to my husband Sean in April 2012. In 2013, I began teaching at Liberty High School. Sean and I welcomed our son, Harrison, in June 2013 and our son, Charlie, in May 2016. For free time, I enjoy traveling and watching the Kansas City Royals and St. Louis Cardinals.

Marla Badalucco

I was born and raised in the Kansas City area. I graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor's degree in Textile and Apparel Management & Business. Prior to deciding to get my Masters degree in Teaching, I worked in the retail industry. I have taught at Liberty High School since 2006. I mainly teach Housing, Textiles and Construction, and Advanced Clothing. In October 2010, I got married to Joe and we have our pug, Ringo. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, following the Missouri Tigers, and working in my garden.

Emily Bryant

I grew up here in the Northland and graduated from Winnetonka High School. I graduated from UCM with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. While teaching in the North Kansas City School District, I earned my Master’s degree in Technology in Education from Lesley University. For nine years, I taught kindergarten and 1st grade. Although, I loved working with the little ones, I decided to follow my passions and make a big change. I got certified to teach Family and Consumer Sciences and it has been the best decision I have ever made! In 2010, I started teaching for the Liberty Public School District. For two years, I taught Family and Consumer Sciences at the Liberty Academy. I implemented the ProStart curriculum and took their first ever competitive cooking team to the state competition in Union, MO. 

I have taught the following courses: Housing & Interior Design, Pregnancy & Parenting, Introduction to Culinary, Culinary I, Culinary II, Textiles & Construction, and Healthy Living. In 2012, I began teaching Family and Consumer Sciences at Liberty High School. I love teaching culinary skills to my students and firmly believe that “anyone can cook.”

I have a wonderful husband (Kyle) and three beautiful children (Cole, Lilly & Henry). In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, running, shopping, traveling, reading, spending time with my family and friends, and doing anything creative.

Amy Mallams

I grew up in the wonderful community of Liberty, MO and graduated from Liberty High School. Go Bluejays! I graduated with honors and a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education and certifications in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education from the Missouri Department of Elementary & Secondary Education. I completed my final collegiate teaching field experience (August to December, 2015) at EPiC Elementary in Learning Studio Two. In addition, I also have an Associate of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and two vocational certificates in the Facilitation of Learning and Learning Center Management. I am a certified Learning Center Director through the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services- Child Care Regulation Division and I have over eleven years of experience as a learning facilitator, enrichment teacher, and special services paraprofessional. 

I have one beautiful daughter (Ava) and enjoy reading, nature, gardening, yoga, attending theatrical performances, volunteering and helping others, participating in community service and giving back, spending time with my family and friends.

Bailey Woods

I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and graduated from Missouri State University with my Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Although this is my second year of teaching, it is my first year of teaching at Liberty High School. In my free time, I enjoy camping, playing the bass, and sewing.
